I have been running woodcarving courses for 10 years. The basics of woodcarving are simple and can be mastered in a short time, perfecting it is a labour of love for a lifetime!
I offer one day taster sessions, weekend courses and evening classes. Why not give one as a gift?
Class sizes are small so you get plenty of teaching contact. I offer courses on ancient and traditional themes such as Carving A Green Man or A Green Lady - ancient symbols of Nature Healing and Protection, and Celtic Knotwork. Other popular themes are Mirror Frame, House or Memorial Sign carving. Students have also carved their own designs, from a swan breadboard to a family heraldic shield.
You will be using traditional woodcarving chisels of good quality and quantity and personally selected wood, usually Lime for ease of use.

3 day course/long weekend £160
Evening course is £10 a session
All courses include free use of tools and refreshments

There is a good choice of local places to stay, from basic hostel to best hotel.
